Quick answer
Macs can run Mac App Store IPTV players such as IPTVX, plus free players like VLC and Kodi.
Before you start
- An active Kemo IPTV trial or subscription (your activation email contains your login details).
- A stable internet connection — about 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps or more for 4K, per stream.
- A recent version of macOS.
Recommended player apps
| Player | Login methods | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| IPTVX | Xtream, M3U | Paid app / in-app purchase on the App Store (check current pricing). |
| UHF | Xtream, M3U | Free download with an optional paid upgrade. |
| VLC media player | M3U | Free and open-source. |
| Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client) | M3U | Free and open-source. |
Player apps are made by independent developers. Install them only from official app stores or the developer's own website. We don't publish APK files or download codes.
Which login method to use
- Xtream Codes API: You enter a server URL, username and password in the player. The app downloads channels, VOD and the TV guide automatically.
- M3U playlist URL: A single web address that points to the full channel playlist. Most players, including VLC and Kodi, can open it.
Set up
- Install IPTVX or UHF from the Mac App Store (or VLC from videolan.org).
- In IPTVX/UHF, add a playlist with Xtream Codes and enter your details.
- In VLC, use File → Open Network and paste your M3U link.
TV guide (EPG) setup
Included with Xtream login in IPTVX/UHF. VLC has no guide.
